Sarasota County Property Standards Requirements
- Keep property mowed below 12″ at all times.
- Keep property free of yard waste, junk, debris, and garbage.
- Keep vehicles operable and currently licensed. Inoperable or unlicensed vehicles must be in a completely enclosed building or removed from the property.
- Do not park commercial vehicles over 6,000 lbs., empty vehicle weight, in residential areas.
- Only two (2) recreational vehicles per property. (Boats, travel trailers, motor homes, etc.)
- Living in motor homes, R.V.’s, and campers with utilities connected is prohibited in residential areas.
- Operating a business from a residential garage or outbuilding is prohibited.
- Report illegal dumping to the Sheriff’s Dept., 941-361-1201. (Get a tag number and vehicle description if possible and report immediately.)
