Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, is one of the most commonly used herbicides in the world. It is found to be highly toxic and can cause many short-term and long-term health effects. Not to mention it can be extremely harmful to important pollinators such as honey bees.
According to the CDC, an estimated 81% of the U.S. population has had some recent exposure to glyphosate, and the potential health effects from exposure include asthma, skin irritation, respiratory irritation, and a 41% increased risk of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
