There is a Planning Commission Meeting taking place Oct 5th @5pm (be there by 4:30pm) at the Robert Anderson Administration Center 4000 S. Tamiami Trail in Venice.
This meeting is to express our concern for the impact this will have on our neighborhood along with Whispering Pines, Boca Royal, Oak Grove, Englewood Isles.
The Land America LLC whom just closed on the vacant property located at the intersection of Whispering Pines Rd and 776, just behind that lake and across from the Lemon Bay Plaza are asking for a Rezoning from Commercial/Residential to OPI zoning which will give them the go ahead to build a 3 story 35 foot high night/day 24 hour access Storage Facility.
This will bring noise, and light pollution to our neighborhood along with excess water drainage into Forked Creek. We have already experienced many problems with washouts from Hurricane Ian into Forked Creek.
